illustrata: prompt witch

In the fall of 2021, illustrata stumbled upon a mysterious, AI-generated image that changed her life forever. Entranced by the seeming impossibility of the semi-abstract image, she was immediately drawn to this new medium. She began experimenting with AI tools — and has not looked back since.

A lifelong creative, illustrata uses AI as her digital paintbrush to conjure and explore emotional, vibrant, and dark spaces. Her work is driven by nostalgia and the memories of the people, places, and things that haunt us.

You can find her work for sale on objkt, Manifold, Makersplace & Foundation. Fine art prints are available upon request.

Her work has been exhibited in Rome, Miami, New York, and Austin. She has sold out several collections on Ethereum and Tezos. Her piece, “Awkward Family Photo,” broke sales records for the Obscura Uncanny Valley collection on Foundation.

Her piece, “Summer Days” was a finalist in Claire Silver’s movement-themed AI competition in July of 2023.

In June 2023, illustrata participated in the first-ever AI Art Hackathon during NFC Lisbon with several other artists. This event gave insight into the creative processes behind AI art and was an exercise in extreme collaboration. Edition of the works created during the event are available on Makersplace.
